78. Kansas Museum of Military History

When we arrived in Augusta, we decided to check out the Kansas Museum of Military History.

Our son was quite excited about the military equipment setting outside the building. We decided the tank tracks were not quite as big as  Big Brutus.

Around the museum there was memorabilia and history from each of the wars our country has been involved in.  There were vehicles and uniforms and other military memorabilia.   There was even a display about the Air Force ONE Simulator Kansas Project.  How appropriate for the area of Kansas that is so well known for aviation

There was a great place for the kids to play.
They can even dress up and crawl inside a tank.  I think that was the most fun the kiddos had on this adventure.
