36. Oil Patch Museum

Oil Patch Museum

The Oil Museum contains lots of different machines/technology outside the museum as well as the history of the oil business in Kansas on the inside of the museum. Outside the museum, there is a building that explains the concept of "Black Gold: The Story of Oil."  This is a great place to learn what you want to know about the history of oil in Kansas and the science about where in the geologic structure it is located, etc.

It was a great place for the kiddos to run around outside and burn off some energy.  It was a nice day and a great place to be outside and look at machines.  Our daughter said, "It rocks!!" and then giggled.  She thought it was great because she could get oil nuggets to share with her class.
