19. Pheasant Capital of Kansas

Norton is known as the Pheasant Capital of Kansas.  Of course, our exploration of Norton should include something to do with pheasants.  Grandpa took our son out pheasant hunting.  They were unsuccessful and did not even see any birds, but they got to do the fun part.  The got all dressed up in thier orange vests and hats and got to go for a "nature walk."  That is one good way to burn energy.  Our son was tired by the end ot their trip and did not want to walk any other fields.

The good news is Grandpa had been successful on other hunting trips so we still got to eat yummy pheasant for dinner while we were there.  And No, it does not taste like chicken.
