4. Kansas Originals

We began our next trip, Saturday, January 15th, trying to visit some attractions that are apparently closed for the winter.  I guess we'll just have to try again later.

We saw some small deer at the Bunker Hill exit on I-70 when we stopped at the gas station and I (Angel) drooled over the homemade fudge (but didn't buy any).

Our first "official" stop on this adventure was at the Kansas Originals store at the Wilson exit on I-70.  We were in awe of all the Kansas items and enjoyed sampling Kansas cookies.  Angel says the sunflower cookies are "the best," the kids liked the snicker doodles, and Eric just likes to eat free food.   We continue to look for t-shirts our family can wear as we travel around Kansas this year, but so far no such luck with what we are looking for.  The kids loved the KSU and KU items although they cannot agree on which is better.  We are a house divided.
