95. Water Parks

What is summer without a visit to the pool or local water park?  Well, our family has visited two of them.  The Hays Aquatic Park was part of our adventure on the weekend of July 1-4.  There are several fun areas to explore and many are wheelchair accessible.  Angel is so glad The Sunflower Grant Corporation helped her get a water chair for this summer.  It is absolutely amazing to be able to get into the pool with the family.  :) Thank you so much!! The Hays Aquatic Park has a children's pool area with fun animals to swim with like a frog, a snake, and a crocodile.  It also has two slides, a diving board area, a lap pool, and a lazy river.  Angel was able to get into the children's pool area and the lap pool.  She was even able to get in the inner tube at the lazy river and float along for awhile.  The kiddos love the slides, but they seemed to enjoy every part of it.

We also have spent time this summer at WaKeeney Water Park which also has a zero grade entry to make the pool wheelchair accessible.  It also has two slides--one for little kids, one for older; a basketball goal, a floating raft, a diving board, and a cool parrot water feature that periodically cascades and will get you wet if you happen to be under it or anywhere in the way the wind is blowing.  We think there are cool pools and water parks all over Kansas.  Some have even been recently renovated.  So, check out the ones close to you and have a great summer experience.
