We tried to visit the Last Indian Raid Museum on our adventure July 9. However, Oberlin had recently had a huge wind storm, which had effected the power and the museum was closed until the power could be restored. Just goes to show Kansas weather is unpredictable and can impact what attractions you can see when. So, Eric just walked around the outside of the museum complex to see what he could see. We will have to make a return visit to the museum after it is back up and running.

We did get to see the Historical Marker that describes the circumstances of the raid and the memorial set up that commemorates the lives of the men killed.
