Eric here. I got the most awesome opportunity to attend the Red Green: Wit & Wisdom Tour at the Twelfth Street Auditorium in Hays. Red Green is a Canadian comedian who had a sit-com on many PBS stations here in the U.S including Smoky Hills Public Television (PBS) who covers most of Kansas, thus the Kansas activity #...like the tie in? ;-).
Smoky Hills Public Television (SHPTV.ORG) hosted the Red Green tour at the 12th Street auditorium in Hays on Saturday, April 9th. Prior to the show, about 2:00pm, SHPTV held a meet and greet with Red Green at the Heartland Building Center in Hays. This was a great time to meet him and have the kiddos meet him too. Since Angel's Grandma had a few pencils left over from the "Bob's Big Pencils" business we decided to make a gift for Red Green and took a few for him to autograph for us as well.
I find his comedy to be exceptionally funny. One of my favorite quotes from Red is "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." I am still wondering which Angel thinks of me :-)
