We went on an elephant hunt July 9. Traer, in Decatur County, is home to Elephant Rock. Elephants have been a big part of our life lately and seem to be appearing at church this month. We were excited to see Elephant Rock... unfortunately, part of the elephant has broken off. Check out this website: http://www.kansasphototour.com/elephant.htm to see pictures of what it looked like before.
We did an elephant hunt in the van on the way to Traer though. Eric started us of by saying "I'm going on an elephant hunt and I'm taking an...avacodo." The game the goes on with everyone repeating the main phrase and each successive item... We took the following on our hunt:
Avacado
Banana
Car
Dog
Elephant Tracking Device
Frog (or Flamingo)
G-P Medium (it's a military tent)
Hillman crew
Iguana
Juagar
Kite
Leaping Lizard
Muzzle Loader
Nuts
Ostrich Egg
Pink Prodigious Pig with a Purple Prodigious Plum in His Mouth (our son's)
Quarter
Robust Rhino
Snare
Teacher
Underpants
Vampire
Watermelon
X-Box
Yak
Zippy the Zebra in the Zoo with a Zookeeper Named Zelda Feeding Him Zinneas (our daughter's)
Unfortunately, we did not find a whole elephant on our hunt, but we did find a bird. :)
